How does this whole blogging thing work again? XD Hi, everybody! This is my inaugural post on my new blog, a journey to health through clean eating and nutrition. Along the way, I’ll be sharing recipes and little glimpses into my life. I hope that anyone reading this can be inspired to eat just a little better and to think about what he or she is putting into his or her body.
Here at the beginning of my blog, I’d like to just recap what I’ve accomplished so far. On June 2nd of this year (2015), I looked in the mirror, and I hated what I saw looking back. I’d been unhealthy and overweight for too long, and it was time to make a change. I began buying and preparing more fruits and vegetables and reducing the amount of carbohydrates in my diet, and the results were immediate and tremendous – I lost 11 pounds in my first week alone! Now that I’m moved in to a new apartment with my own kitchen and my own refrigerator, eating healthier has become even easier. I’ve already lost 42 pounds, and I have to wear a belt to keep my pants up now. XD I’m so proud of what I’ve already accomplished, and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead.
